Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the username you choose. This data is necessary to identify you within the app.
Content you create
We store the yerba mate check-ins you log: brand, rating, tasting notes and your personal Top 5. This content is the core of the service.
Technical data
We may collect basic device information (Android version, model) solely to ensure the app functions correctly and to diagnose errors.
What we don't collect
We do not use behavioural analytics tools. We do not track your location. We do not show advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. How we use your data
We use the data collected exclusively to:
- Create and manage your user account.
- Display your check-in history, ratings and Top 5.
- Allow you to share reviews with the Matedex community.
- Diagnose and fix technical bugs in the application.
- Send you account-related notifications if you have enabled them.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Matedex runs on Google Play Services infrastructure, which manages app distribution on Android. Use of these services is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We may disclose your data if required by law or to protect the legitimate rights of Frenchy Apps or platform users.
4. Security and retention
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Access to user data is restricted to Frenchy Apps staff who need it to operate the service.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we proceed to erase your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are legally required to retain it.

Matedex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can delete it.
